Roasted Garlic Brussels Sprouts - Gabby Homemaker

Unlike most children, my mother never had a problem getting me to eat my brussels sprouts. For some reason, I’ve always loved those little cabbage-like balls of green deliciousness – especially when they are smothered in butter or tossed with oil and roasted to crispy perfection.

 

Being that I love garlic, what could be better than brussels sprouts WITH garlic?  Not much.

 

My favorite way to prepare brussels sprouts takes less than 15 minutes from start to finish and makes the perfect side dish for any dinner.  It’s super simple to make and really takes away the bitter taste that is sometimes associated with brussels sprouts.

 

Here’s what you need:

  • Brussels Sprouts
  • Garlic {about 2 cloves}
  • Olive Oil {about 3-4 Tbs}
  • Salt & Pepper {just a pinch of each}

Here’s what to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 450-degrees.
  2. Cut the end off each brussels sprout and slice in half, lengthwise. Toss with garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper – you can do this directly on the baking sheet. When evenly coated, make sure that each brussels sprout is laying on the cookie sheet with the cut side down.
  3. Bake brussels sprouts for 10-12 minutes, or until desired crispiness is reached.
  4. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
